What is brokerage-led execution

Large trades, executed with a executionin your corner.

Rather than placing a trade yourself on asingle exchange, your order goes through a dedicated UpTrade broker and oursmart routing engine, which checks pricing across 40+ liquidity providers, market makersand OTC desks in real time and executes at the bestavailable price instead of resting on one order book that can move againstyou.

This suits clients placing larger trades, where a broker managing execution, custody and settlement matters as much as the trade itself.

Differentiators

Why route a large tradethrough a broker.

Five things UpTrade does that a single exchange order book does not.

Talk to a broker
An UpTrade broker at the execution deskA real person on every trade
01

Smart auto-routing

Priced and executed against live liquidity across 40+ exchanges at once, not a single order book. You get the best available price without resting on one venue that can move against you.

02

Reduced market impact

Large trades placed on a single public exchange move the price against you. Routing your order across multiple venues at once spreads that impact instead of concentrating it on one book.

03

Discretion as standard

Your identity and relationship stay with your broker — you're not trading anonymously on a public retail interface. For the specifics of what is and isn't visible to the market, ask your broker.

04

Custody handled, not assumed

Settlement plans for where assets land, in which wallet, under whose control. Custody is part of the conversation, not an afterthought.

05

One named broker

The same person from the first call through to settlement. They know your portfolio, your treasury structure and the way you trade.

Process

From first call tosettled trade.

Every broker-led trade follows the same four steps, with your broker alongside you at each one.

01

Consultation

Discuss size, asset, settlement currency, custody and timing with your broker, or set it up yourself via the portal. No commitment required.

02

Execution

You or your broker triggers the trade. Our smart routing sources the best price across 40+ exchanges in real time.

03

Confirmation

Your broker confirms the trade against agreed terms. You'll receive written confirmation covering size, price, asset and settlement details.

04

Settlement

Assets settle into your agreed wallet structure, typically Fireblocks custody, or a self-custody address of your choice.

The brokers behind your trades.

Not a support queue. A dedicated broker who knows your name, your book and how you like to trade.

  • No one on the other end of the phone
VS

UpTrade brokerage

  • A broker, in your corner
  • A firm price before you commit a cent
  • Off-book execution, no visible footprint
  • Liquidity sourced across 40+ venues
  • Custody planned in, settled to your wallet
  • One named broker, first call to settlement

FAQ

Common questionsabout Brokerage-Led Trading.

Can't find what you're looking for? Your broker can answer anything not covered here.

What is the minimum trade size?
Minimum trade size depends on the asset, its liquidity, and how the trade needs to be executed. If you have a specific trade in mind, contact our team and we'll advise on the best approach.
How does pricing work on an OTC trade?+
Each trade is priced individually at the time of execution. Your broker sources liquidity and provides an indicative price before you agree, so you always see the price and terms before committing.
How fast can a trade settle?+
Most OTC trades settle the same business day, once the trade is agreed and the funds and assets are in position. Larger or more complex settlements, including those routed through trustee or corporate custody, can take longer to coordinate.
Which assets can I trade through UpTrade OTC?+
UpTrade brokers across 500+ digital assets. Bitcoin, Ethereum and the major liquid assets settle most easily; less liquid assets may take longer to source and execute. Your broker confirms availability and timing before any trade.
How is confidentiality handled?+
OTC trades are executed privately between you, your broker and the underlying liquidity venues. The trade does not appear on any single public order book. Client identity, trade size and terms are not shared externally.
Is UpTrade regulated?+
UpTrade is registered with AUSTRAC as a Digital Currency Exchange Provider (DCE100856266-001) and operates in compliance with its regulatory obligations. Client assets are custodied via Fireblocks.
